Theo has extensive experience in various areas of engineering. Included, are 19 years of experience as the Managing Director of an engineering company specialising in mining machinery, materials handling and mineral processing equipment. Prior to this he had 14 years of design experience, including five years as Chief Draftsman and three years as Chief Design Engineer.

Theo has expertise in the design and developent of new equipment for the mining industry, mineral processing industry, pollution control equipment and bulk materials handling plants, including ship-loaders and stackers. As such, he is a key member of the HMIDE team.

Theo has received a number of awards, including the UNSW Harbin Polytechnical Institute Alumni Association prize for Mechanical Engineering.

Theo has also lectured part-time at the University of Technology, teaching engineering design, engineering mechanics and bulk material handling at post-graduate level. More recently, he has been teaching mechanical design, statics, mechanics and computer integrated manufacturing at the University of Western Sydney.

Theo plays a valuable role in the HMIDE office, with his extensive experience and tireless work ethic.
