Rakesh completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University, India. Rakesh went on to complete his Master of Engineering Practice degree from Wollongong University in 2005.

After finishing his Bachelor's degree, Rakesh joined a Design and Manufacturing Engineering company in India, focusing on Bulk Materials Handling equipment. Examples of machines that he helped design have included Crushing Plants, Concrete Mixers, and other Construction equipments. Furthermore, Rakesh has also been involved in the project management of two crushing plants in India.

Upon moving to Australia, Rakesh joined HMIDE to utilise his skills and knowledge within the Bulk Materials Handling field. Rakesh is heavily involved in plant design, plant layout and task management within a project team. Bulk materials handling machines that Rakesh has helped design have included shiploaders and stackers.

Currently, Rakesh works in the capacity of a Mechanical Structures Engineer at HMIDE. In this role, he utilises his technical engineering skills and project management. With his broad experience in the material handling equipment, Rakesh makes a significant contribution to the HMIDE team and would make a definite and valuable contribution to your plant.
